Standards of Practice
The practices and procedures of the Faculty Ombudsperson Office were
developed in accordance with the Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics of the International Ombudsman Association (IOA). Consistent with the IOA principles,
the WVU Faculty Ombudsperson office functions independent of the formal
organizational structure, operates confidentially, remains neutral, and limits
the scope of its services to informal assistance with conflict management and
resolution.
